Congratulations, you have your CCW Permit, you've been to the range, and now your ready to carry concealed. What equipment should you purchase? The answer is, do your research. I am not going to tell you that XYZ is the best holster and that you need to get it or that you should carry your gun in this area vs that area. Go online, watch videos, read reviews, learn the various ways to carry and find out what works best for you. Just because the latest and greatest YouTube star says to always carry your gun inside the waistband at a 4 o'clock, doesn't mean that works for you and the pistol you carry. Just because someone tells you that Kydex is the best and you should get a Kydex holster, doesn't mean that works for you and the pistol you carry. Do your research and try it out before you commit to spending your hard earned money on a piece of gear. Once you pick a holster system and other equipment (magazine holders etc) make sure you practice with it. Make sure you practice the way you are going to carry it, draw from it, etc. Keep your head up and always be aware. |
