Maryland HQL
You have made the decision to purchase a handgun. This is a very important decision and Phase Line Defense is here to educate you and answer your questions. As a Maryland resident, you must complete a handgun qualification course to purchase regulated handguns.
This course exceeds the state mandated requirements to obtain the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL).
This four hour class will include three hours in the classroom with instruction on the rules for safe handling of firearms, various types of handguns and ammunition identification, disassembly and reassembly, cleaning and proper maintenance, as well as Maryland State Laws regarding safe storage and transportation. We will then complete one hour of range time consisting of live fire instruction under the guidance of our Certified Instructors.
Phase Line Defense will provide all range materials, including the use of a firearm, as well as eye and ear protection. We will learn a lot and have a lot of fun so please bring your positive mental attitude.
We may go slightly over time as many students have great questions which lead to discussions. We don't want any question to go unanswered.
Materials to bring:
1. A pen and notepad
2. You may bring your own eye and ear protection but it is not required.
3. Any food or snacks you might want as we won't be taking any breaks for meals.
